Running Biomechanical Study

We analyse your running technique to prevent injuries and improve efficiency. Objective data to run better.

Analysis

Your running form, in detail

Most running injuries are directly related to running technique and each athlete physical characteristics. Our analysis evaluates:

Personal factors

  • Foot strike type and support
  • Muscle shortening
  • Joint limitations
  • Structural asymmetries

Technical factors

  • Ground contact time
  • Flight time between strides
  • Stride length and cadence
  • Vertical hip oscillation
  • Knee and ankle angles
Biomechanical analysis of running technique

Technology

Analysis with 3D capture and electromyography

We combine two technologies to get a complete picture of how you run.

3DMA System (STT Systems)

3D motion capture records each joint while you run. We measure angles, speeds and trajectories with precision.

Electromyography (Delsys Trigno)

Sensors measure muscle activation in real time. We detect muscles working too much, too little or at the wrong time.

Protocol

How the study works

1

Initial interview

We review your injury history, training and sports goals.

2

Physical assessment

We evaluate flexibility, strength and joint ranges to understand your profile.

3

Treadmill recording

We record you running at different speeds with 3D and EMG systems.

4

Data analysis

We process the information and detect problematic technique patterns.

5

Recommendations

You receive a report with specific exercises, technical corrections and footwear recommendations.

Who it is for

Could this study benefit you?

Runners with recurring injuries (fasciitis, shin splints, knee pain)
Athletes who want to improve running economy
Triathletes looking to optimise the running segment
Runners returning from injury
Any runner who wants to better understand their running form
